Private Albert White

Harrogate Herald - 2nd May 1917

The following are men who have sent us the Army post-card briefly stating that they are well and have received papers and parcels, or whose letters contain views that have repeatedly been expressed by other correspondents, but show their friends that they are all right :

Pte Albert White

Harrogate Herald - 27th February 1918

Private Albert White, fifth son of Mrs White, of Westmoreland Passage [10], who has had his left leg amputated below the knee and his shoulder badly damaged by a shell which dropped near him whilst resting after an attack, is progressing favourably. Mrs White had five sons in the Army, one being killed and one is a prisoner in Germany. A grandson is in training in England.
