Bombardier Whiteley

Harrogate Herald - 3rd January 1917

Chats with the Wounded

Bombardier Whiteley, of the Royal Garrison Artillery, is in the Police Convalescent Home with shell wounds in the left forearm. It was just a shelling "do" between the British and the Germans on the West front. Whiteley was hit with a bullet from a shell which exploded near their battery. He is now going on well. The Bombardier was at the Front about three months.
