Ralph Lofthouse - 4th September 1806 - AA138

Knaresborough, Bridle Cutter

To my wife Ann Lofthouse £400 and all the household furniture and contents. Also the furniture left me in the Will of Richard Thompson.

My house and at Galphay to my wife, Ralph Dearlove of Knaresborough, flax dresser, and John Wrather of Bridge Hewick, farmer, Upon Trust. Also all my stock-in-trade and personal estate.

Trusts : To sell my estate and invest the money and apply interest for the maintenance and education of my sons Richard Lofthouse, Ralph Lofthouse, and Thomas Lofthouse, and at them reaching 21 to pay each of them £200.

I give my house in High Street, Knaresborough, occupied by Miss Jane Thompson, with the stables and other buildings, and the close now occupied by myself, having surrendered my copyhold, to the use of my son Richard, chargeable with £50 each to my sons Ralph and Thomas.

I give the parcel of land at Knaresborough containing 7 acres and occupied by John Whitehouse to my son Ralph.

I give the parcel of land at Knaresborough containing 3 acres and occupied by Brian Dawson, and the land containing 4 acres occupied by John Whitehouse to my son Thomas.
