To John Mountain, son of Edward Mountain, the close called Dodgson’s Close.
To my nephews John Shann and Robert Shann the close now occupied by
James Lee, and at their death to their children.
To John Shann the house/shop now occupied by him and the parcel of land occupied by
Robert Mush and at his death the same to his children.
To my nephew John Turnbull the house/shops now occupied by
Robert Shann and George Barf and at his death the same to his children.
To Robert Shann the house/shop in which I now live and at his death the same to his children.
To my nephew William Turnbull the close now occupied by George Savage and at his death the same to his children.
My estate at Arkendale to John Turnbull, Christopher Turnbull, and
William Turnbull when the youngest of them reaches 21. prior to that the rents arising to be used for their education.
To my niece Elizabeth Turnbull the houses occupied by Elizabeth Shaw, Ellen Thorp, Richard Wood, Robert Harker, Christopher Johnson, Phoebe Houseman, Robert
Robinson, and Jane Vitty. At her death the same to the children of
William Turnbull.
To my grand-niece Sarah Kirk £200.
£200 each to John Turnbull and William Turnbull.
To Ann Shann, daughter of Martha Hall, £50.
To Amy Mountain, daughter of Francis Mountain, £40 each.
£200 each to John Shann and Robert Shann.
£1 1s each to Christopher Johnson, George Davey, William Thorp the elder, William Wilks the elder, Peter
Wilks, and Thomas Davey.
To Mary Shann the interest on £349. At her death the principal sum to be divided : £100 to
John Shann, £100 to Robert Shann, £49 to William
Turnbull.
To Martha Hall the interest on £400. At her death the principal sum to be divided equally amongst my nephews
John Shann, Robert Shann, and William Turnbull.
To William Hall and Christopher Hall the interest on £400 until the youngest reaches 21; at that time the principal sum to go to my executors.
I appoint my friends Edward Mountain, George Cooper and John Shann as executors.
