My personal estate and effects to my wife, except my plate, watch, and medical books, and appoint her executor.
I appoint my wife, Dr Andrew Duncan, William Ramsey of Gogar, Esquire, and
Thomas Nursaw of Knaresborough, Esquire, Guardians and Trustees of my children during their minorities.
To my son James Barton Makittrick Adair my plate and medical
books.
To my son Charles Adair my watch.
Witnesses : Richard Wardman, James Collins
Codicil - 16th April 1802
Should both my sons die, without issue, before they reach 21 then my wife is to receive £1,000.
To my sister Mrs Lowne, Mrs Frances Burke, and John McConnell
of Sloane Street, Chelsea, £1,000 each.
To Richard Terry, Thomas Nursaw, and Mrs Hamilton, the mother of my wife, £500 each.
To my son Charles my copying machine.
In my will, I mean my Trustee to be Dr Andrew Duncan, the elder.
