Roll of Honour
Mrs Atkins received information from the War Office on Saturday
morning that her son, Corporal F Atkins, West Yorkshire Regiment,
had been killed in action on July 1st. he had only been at the Front
seven weeks, and prior to enlisting was a caddie at the Harrogate
Golf Club. His brother, Lance Corporal J Atkins, was shot through
both cheeks some time ago, but has recovered, and is nearly fit for
service again. He is at York.
