Sergeant Wilfrid Randall Beall

Roll of Honour

Last week-end the sad news was received of the death in action on September 29th of Lieutenant A Ernest Beall. He was the son of Mr & Mrs George Beall, of Netherleigh, Tewit Well Avenue, Harrogate, was granted a commission in the Territorial Battalion of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry in July 1915, and had served in France for a considerable period. In civilian life he was an incorporated accountant. Several letters of appreciation have reached the family from the Front, and his loss will be keenly felt by his friends in Harrogate. His younger brother, Wilfrid R Beall, of the York and Lancaster Regiment, was killed in action on July 1st, 1916. Mr & Mrs Beall have two other sons in the Army.
