W H Breare letter
I have had a most interesting call from Sapper Malcolm
Bellerby,
of New Zealand, who, by the way, is a nephew of Mrs Frederick Mudd.
Four of the Bellerby boys joined the Colonial troops at the earliest
moment. Sapper Malcolm Bellerby enlisted over two years ago, went to
Egypt and has since been in France. He had but seven days' leave. A
brother, Lieutenant Jack Bellerby, has recently obtained his
commission, and another brother, Wrigley Bellerby, was wounded, discharged
and has returned home. The third brother is Mellish Bellerby and the
fourth Frank Bellerby now in France. They are all of them fine chaps
and it makes one proud to think that we have such young men eager to
come to the help of the Motherland.
