Claro Times - 23rd January 1915
Lieutenant Blackburn, well known for his aviation flights
over Harrogate, has just paid a visit to Leeds and Doncaster. He
visited his brother at Doncaster, and then returned to the Front. He
looks very fit, and his adventurous life at the Front appeals to
him. He has had several narrow escapes when flying over the enemy's
lines, and on one occasion a German bullet passed through his
trouser leg.
