Lieutenant George Carlisle, of the West Yorkshire Regiment, only son of Mr and Mrs Carlisle of Abbeyholme, Harrogate, has been mentioned in Sir Douglas Haig's despatch. He joined the Leeds University OTC in 1914, and received his commission the following year. He has been out in France about a year. He is 20 years of age.
