Private H Carlton writes : 

The Harrogate lads in our billet number about 20, and the Herald would be welcome out here. We are at present behind the firing line, but expect to be in the midst of it shortly. As you will know we are not allowed to disclose the locality. We are all happy and up to the knees in mud.
