Private G H Carrick, of 5 Nydd Vale Terrace,
has, in a letter to his wife, informed her that he has been wounded
in the leg, and removed to a base hospital at Boulogne. Private
Carrick has a brother and son in the Yorkshire Hussars.

Roll of Honour
Still another West Yorks has made the great
sacrifice, Mrs Carrick, of 5 Nydd Vale Terrace, Harrogate,
having received intimation from the War Office that her husband, Private
G H Carrick, was killed on March 4th. The King's message of
sympathy accompanied the sad news. Deceased leaves a widow and a
family of four. He had been wounded twice previously. He belonged to
the National Reserve, and was called up at the beginning of the war,
going out to France soon after. Before rejoining the colours he was
employed at Mr W Bellerby's, plumber, Robert Street, Harrogate. One
of his sons was also serving, and had been wounded, and a younger
one, who was an assistant at the Grand Opera House, enlisted about
two or three weeks ago.
