Roll of Honour
Private Frank Churchyard (Northumberland Fusiliers), whose
home is at 12 Prospect Terrace, New Park, Harrogate, received a
gunshot wound in the lip and jaw, and for a time laid dangerously
ill at the 1st Australian General Hospital and then transferred to
the 6th General Hospital, Rouen, but at last accounts he was
improving. Private Churchyard joined on May 29th, 1916, and
went to France in September of last year. This is the second time he
has been wounded. Before enlisting he was employed at the Harrogate
Gasworks.
