Chats with the Wounded
Corporal Cook, of the Duke of Cornwall's Regiment, is in
the Police Convalescent Home with shrapnel wounds in the knee. They
were in the trenches on the West front. They were making ready to go
over the top. At the time their lines were being subjected to a hot
bombardment. A shell burst near and wounded Cook. The Corporal is
now making good progress. He was at the Front about twelve months.
