Letters
Gunner H Crosthwaite, writing from General Military
Hospital, Edmonton, says :
I am pleased to say I am going on very well at present, and have
now got eight of my wounds healed up. The doctor came to examine my
foot last week to see if it was fit to travel, but I am sorry to say
he will not let me come until after Christmas. When I go get home, I
shall come and see you, so as to thank you personally for sending me
the paper so regularly while serving in France. I always look
forward to it coming, as it always let me know how things were at
home, also how my chums were going on. I was very sorry to hear of
the death of Private W Wright, as he was an old school mate of mine,
and was always cheerful. I am sure his parents have my deepest
sympathy.
