Corporal J Digby Devis, RFA (East Lancs), youngest son of the late Rev J G Devis and of Mrs Devis, of Westbourne Grove, Ripon, is in a convalescent home in England recovering from the effects of having been gassed while on active service. Corporal Devis immediately after the outbreak of the war went out to Egypt, and has been on active service abroad up to the present time. He was formerly a master at the Wesleyan Day School at Heelingden, Lancashire.
