Chats with the Wounded
Private Dinsdale, of the Army Veterinary
Corps, is in the Royal Bath Hospital suffering from rheumatism
contracted on the Western front. The AVC are doing some good work in
France, where the cavalry are just now coming into their own. Horses
are brought back from the firing line in various stages of being
wounded, and they go into hospital as do the men. These hospitals
for horses are graded from the first-aid near the lines to
convalescent hospital away back from the fighting, and all along it
is a wonderful system. Private Dinsdale is undergoing the treatment,
and is benefiting thereby.
