The marriage of Major Thomas George Gibson,
of the West Yorkshire Regiment (Leeds Pals), second son of Dr
Gibson, JP, [Charles Gibson, MD, JP, Woodcote, 5 Beech
Grove] of Beech Grove, Harrogate, to Miss Betty Cousins, only
daughter of Mr and Mrs H R Cousins, [Henry R Cousins, 1 Lead Hall
Drive] of Harrogate, took place on Wednesday, the 28th inst., very
quietly, at St Philip's Church, Kensington, by the Vicar, the Rev
Marling Roberts, MA. The bridegroom was in the Cadet Corps at Epsom
College, and when at Cambridge, where he graduated in law, was in
the University Volunteers OTC. After being admitted as a solicitor,
he obtained an appointment in the legal department of HM Customs,
London. On the outbreak of war he offered his services, and was
immediately given a commission. After the ceremony a reception was
held at the residence of Colonel and Mrs Riddell, the uncle and aunt
of the bride, where numerous and handsome presents were on view.

Military Honours
Temp Major Thomas George Gibson, 15th West Yorks, Leeds
Pals, has been mentioned in despatches. He joined the Army on the
outbreak of the war, and has been almost the whole time on active
service. He was slightly wounded, but kept on duty. He has also soon
service in Egypt. He is probably the only one of the officers of the
original battalion left. He is the second son of Dr Charles
Gibson, JP, and Mrs Gibson, of Beech Grove, Harrogate.
