Private N Greensit, Royal Army Medical Corps, son of Mrs J
Greensit, 16 Archie Street, New Park, Harrogate, is reported to be a
prisoner of war in Japanese hands. Private Greensit, who is 25 years
of age, was born in Harrogate, and is a former pupil of New Park
School. Before joining the Regular Army six years ago, he was
employed by a local butchering firm. He had been abroad four years
and was taken prisoner in Malaya, being reported missing in March.
Mrs Greensit, whose late husband was wounded in the last war, has
two other sons in the Army - one in India with the Royal Artillery,
the other in the Royal Army Service Corps - another son in the Home
Guard, a fifth in the Army Cadet Corps, and a girl on munitions
work.
