Private Tom Halliday, West Yorks, son of Mr and Mrs
Halliday, Back Regent Place, Starbeck, has had a somewhat
chequered career since he joined the Army in 1914. he went first to
France and was sent from there to Mesopotamia, where he was
invalided home with pneumonia. On his recovery he was again sent to
France, where he was wounded in the leg, and after a period in
"Blighty", recovered and was again doing "his
bit" in France.
