Harrogate Herald - 23rd May 1917
Bandsman W T Ingleby says :
I am in real good health and enjoying myself. You
will know that we have been on the Hindenburg Line, which is very
strongly held, but we broke a little off and made it a bit weaker,
and I guess by the time it is finished with there won't be too much
left. Anyhow, the sooner the better for all. I have met a good lot
of the East Yorks, and West Yorks, but never come across a Harrogate
lad yet. I was having a chat with a lad from Wakefield, and he
mentioned Tom Henderson's name, and said I had just missed
him by about eight hours. I wish you every success with you paper,
and the best of luck to all the boys doing their "bit".

Private T Henderson has been over on leave, and looks very
well. He is on the Royal Engineers new road construction. Was
formerly employed by the Harrogate Corporation Highways Department.
