Harrogate Herald - 29th August 1917
A letter from a comrade intimates that C F Horner,
Lewis gun section, of Harrogate, was killed instantaneously on the
28th April by a bursting shell, and was buried in a cemetery close
to the line. The writer got the information from a chum who was with
Horner at the time he was killed, and expresses his deepest sympathy
with the bereaved mother.
