Harrogate Herald – 9th January 1918
W H Breare letter
The OS J Audsley, second son of Mr and Mrs J
Audsley, 14 Station Parade, whose father is a well-known tailor,
likewise looked in on me. He had but four days' leave. He is at the
Crystal Palace RN Depot, where he has been training two months. His
ambition is to pass in wireless. With him are Mr George Idle
and Mr Leist.

Breare letter
George Idle is still here, and has been making very
eloquent speeches on behalf of the War Loan movement. I hope you
will be able to see a picture of him on top of the Tank, talking to
a huge crowd.
