Gunner Harold Victor Jagger, younger son of Mr J Jagger
(better remembered as Sergeant Jagger), of 9 Strawberrydale
Terrace, Harrogate, was killed in action in France on November 8th. Gunner
Jagger had ten years service in the Army, and was billeted in
Liverpool until the beginning of September when he went to the
Front. He was an expert in signalling and attended Christ Church
School in the time of Mr I Wade's headmastership, and was in the
school football team and the church choir. Mr Jagger's elder
son is engaged on munitions making in Bristol, where he has charge
of 90 men.
