Harrogate Herald - 25th April 1917
Driver Hubert Jewitt says :
I have now the greatest pleasure in writing these few lines to
you, hoping they may find you in the best of health, as I am sorry
to say it leaves me very bad at present, having had to come to
hospital with severe pleurisy. I have been in bed for over a month
with poultices back and front, but I am pleased to say I am up
again, but very weak yet. I have been sent convalescent for three
months, so I think I have done with the firing line for a while, but
I think I have done a good share, as I have been in over a year in
the firing line with one illness. Will you please forward the paper
to the under mentioned address, as it is about a week sooner in
reaching me now. With best wishes and kind regards.
