Harrogate Herald - 8th
December 1915
Bandsman Lamb, of the 7th
Notts and Derby Regiment, is in the Royal Bath Hospital with a
nervous breakdown. He was in the attack at Loos, and was hit three
times with shrapnel, but in each case it was a spent piece of shell
and did not penetrate the flesh. He had other narrow escapes. A high
explosive on one occasion blew in two dugouts. In the one dugout
every man was killed, and in the other in which Lamb was several of
them were more or less injured. Lamb is making good progress.
