Harrogate Herald - 2nd
May 1917
Private Lawley
writes :
Will you be so kind
as to send me your paper out occasionally. I am one of he Harrogate
boys who came out to France two ears ago. Now I am separated from
the battalion, and I don't get any news. It is so droll here not
knowing who is killed or wounded. Before my friends were all knocked
out I did get the news, but now I never hear a word. If you cannot
find your way to send the paper through economy, please inform me if
possible, as I will make the best of it. Wishing you and your paper
every success in the future (We have put Lawley on the list -
