Roll of Honour
Second Lieutenant George H Lofthouse, of the
East Yorks Regt, the youngest son of Mr T G Lofthouse, of
Arrowfield, Boroughbridge, was reported missing on April 23rd. It is
only a few months ago since Lieutenant Lofthouse was wounded
in the leg. He was educated at Aysgarth School and Malvern College.
Previous to joining the Hull Pals as a Private in 1914, the missing
officer was on the staff of Messrs Rishworth, Ingleby, and
Lofthouse, Ltd., of the Swan Flour Mills, Hull.

Regt, youngest son of Mr T G Lofthouse, Arrowfield,
Boroughbridge, previously reported missing on April 23rd, is now
reported killed on that date. He was educated at Aysgarth and
Malvern College, and prior to joining the Army in August, 1914, was
with the firm of Rishworth, Ingleby, and Lofthouse (Ltd), Hull. He
went to the Front in May, 1916, and was wounded in the following
September. He returned to the Front at the beginning of this year.
