Harrogate Herald - 8th December
1915
Bugler Mason, of the 1st Shropshire Light
Infantry, is in the Heatherdene Hospital with shrapnel wounds
received on the Ypres front. The enemy had delivered a counter
attack on the British Trenches, which was easily repulsed. The
Germans began shelling the position, and it was then that Mason
was hit. He is making excellent progress and speaks highly of the
treatment the wounded receive at Heatherdene.
