December 2nd. I have received your papers all right, and I thank you very much for them. I am in good health at present although it is very wet over here, and the trenches are in rather a muddy state, but we have got used to that. I have seen one or two of my old pals from Harrogate over here and they are happy and in good spirits. Must close now, but will write you again soon.
