Claro Times - 3rd April 1915
Reference is made in the current number of St
Martin's, Scarborough, monthly magazine, to the organist having
joined the Army Service Corps, as follows - "Our organist, Mr Cyril
Musgrove, has joined the Army Service Corps. The Vicar and
churchwarden have made this sacrifice in the hope that others will
be moved to serve their country, and that the example will have a
good effect. They have arranged for the music of the church to be
officially provided for through the kind help of Mr A C Keeton, of
All Saints', and of Miss Hilda Milvain, a pupil of me Hylton
Stewart's and of Mr Musgrove's".
Before going to Scarborough, Mr Musgrove, who is a native
of Harrogate, was deputy-organist at York Minster.
