Second Lieutenant C M Pullan, Royal Field
Artillery, who was killed on March 22nd, was the only son of John
Green Pullan, of The Laurels, Summerbridge, Harrogate. Before the
war Lieutenant Pullan was indentured with Messrs Rook and Midgley,
solicitors, White Horse Street, Leeds. He joined the Leeds
University OTC, and received his commission in February 1915. He
went to the Front on March 5th. Aged 21, he was educated at the
Leeds Modern School and Bilton Grange College, Harrogate.

G F Moody writes :
I was very sorry indeed to read of the late
Lieutenant Pullan being killed in action. He was an officer in the
same brigade as I am, and I am sure the lads feel it very much
indeed, as he was very much liked by all under him.
