Harrogate Herald - 3rd April 1918
W H Breare letter
Private M Kenn, Northumberland Fusiliers, son of Mr and Mrs J
Kenn, Albert Place, Starbeck, and grandson of old Mr Kenn (who will
be remembered by older residents as one of the station staff at
Starbeck), called in to see me yesterday. Pullan, son of Mr
Pullan, watchmaker, formerly of Albert Street, is with him. Kenn
has been out eight months, and has been in Ypres and Cambrai
engagements. He came through several villages just before the
Germans took them. Kenn was employed at Mr J R Ogden's prior to
joining up in May, 1915.
