Wednesday Gossip
Captain B L Ratcliffe, of the West Yorks, who has been
awarded the MC for gallant conduct in escaping from captivity, is a
Harrogate gentleman, and a nephew of Colonel Sir E A Brotherton, MP,
who was wounded, and was a prisoner for 2½ years. He jumped from a
train, and got his liberty while being moved from Inglestadt to
Krefeld.
