Second Lieutenant W Redmond, 6th Lancashire Fusiliers, is in hospital at Alexandria, suffering from wounds received on August 7th in the Dardanelles. Mr Redmond is well known in Harrogate, having worked for Messrs Wood and Mason for several years before leaving for Manchester 18 months ago. He was for a long time hon. secretary of the Harrogate Swimming Club, in which he took a great interest.
