Harrogate Herald - 27th July 1917
W H Breare letter
With Brady came his youngest brother, Private K Brady. He is only
19 now, but has been in the Army six months on this side of the
water. He is in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. There are
quite a number of Harrogate boys in this lot. For instance, there is
Reynard, from Killinghall Moor, and G Holmes, of Starbeck.
Private K Brady holds the cross guns for marksmanship in rifle
shooting. A very good record for a boy of 19, is it not?
Harrogate Herald - 12 December 1917
W H Breare letter
Private T Richardson, of the West Yorks, now attached to the
Railway Operating Department, of the Royal Engineers, came to see me
last Wednesday. He is the son of Mrs Waring, 2 Park Row, Harrogate.
Before the war he was in business for himself. Robert Cooper,
formerly a collector for the Gas Company, and Reynard, of
Upper Denmark Street, are in his lot. Reynard, I believe, is
an engine driver. Richardson met various men of Harrogate out at the
Front, but the name's have escaped him. He is married and has five
children, all of whom are well. Last winter on the Somme he was
troubled with rheumatism and sent down the line.
