Harrogate Herald - 3rd January 1917
Letters
AB F Robinson, of HMS Cornwallis, in an appreciative letter to Mr
Breare, says :
Your picture page is of great interest to me, as I
always look for photos of my chums. From time to time I have seen
different people who I know quite well. By the way, I should like to
ask a favour of you, if it is possible. If you have any spare space,
will you please insert my congratulations to Private R Oram, of the
Cameronians, on his winning the Military Medal? He was a great chum
of mine both at school and after we left. I saw it in your paper,
and not knowing his address I cannot write and congratulate him. I
am living in hopes of being home early in the New Year and then I
will come and thank you personally. I should like to know how
Harrogate is looking now, it will be rather strange to me. Wishing
you a happy New Year and your paper the best of luck.
