Chats with the Wounded
Private Simpson of the Army Service Corps, is in the Royal
Bath Hospital with rheumatism and sciatica, contracted on the
Western Front. On one occasion they had a narrow escape when going
up with an ammunition column. A German aeroplane came over and
dropped bombs in their vicinity. Private Simpson has been
twenty-one months on the Western Front, and practically the whole of
that time has been spent away from the base. Since he came to
Harrogate he has made steady progress. He is having the electrical
treatment and the sulphur baths, and these are doing him good.
