Private George Steel (West Yorks Regt), previously reported as missing, has written home to his wife, stating he is a prisoner of war in Germany, and wounded in he right leg. Before joining the Army a year ago he was employed by Mr Foreman as gardener at Staveley Grange, Knaresborough.
