Second Lieutenant G Leslie Todd, West Yorks, son of Mrs Todd, Brunswick House, West Park, Harrogate, has been awarded the Military Cross for gallantry on the field. He joined up two days after war was declared, and went to France in April, 1915. prior to receiving his commission he was acting Sergeant Major. In June 1916, he was wounded, and received his commission in October, 1917.
