Mr T A Horner, Grange Avenue, Harrogate, has
received news that Private Fred Horner and Drummer H Turner,
of the 9th West Yorkshire Regiment, have been reported missing at
the Dardanelles. Private Horner and Drummer Turner went out
in July and have been together since enlistment.

Information has now been received that Private
Harry Turner, of the 9th West Yorks, who was reported missing at
the Dardanelles some weeks ago, was wounded and taken prisoner, and
is now in a Turkish hospital at Constantinople. Private Horner, his
companion of the same battalion, who was announced to be missing at
the same time, has not been traced.

We are pleased to be able to report that Drummer Harry Turner,
of the 9th Yorkshire Regiment, who was reported missing a short time
ago along with Private W C Horner (son of Mr J H Horner, of Grange
Avenue, Harrogate), has been heard of by his parents. He was wounded
and taken prisoner, and has written home from Constantinople.
