Harrogate Herald - 18th April 1917
Letters
Driver H Aubin, with the Salonica Field Force, says
:
I have received two mouthorgans, and I thank you
very much for them, also the paper. I am very sorry to hear of
Gamble dying of wounds. I knew him quite well; and I also see in the
paper about another Harrogate man called Veal being out here.
If he is in the same unit I will try and see him.
Harrogate Herald – 29th January 1919
Trooper S Veal, who has been 2½ years in Salonica, writes
:
I may say during my stay out in the East the welcome Harrogate
Herald came to hand regularly, and was always greatly appreciated,
not only by myself, but by friends to whom I passed it on.
