Mrs Walkington, of Kirk Hammerton, on Saturday received official intimation that her son, Private Alma Walkington, West Yorks, had been killed in France, where he had been two months, after having served two years training in England. Another son, Private Herbert Walkington, West Yorks, is at present in hospital at Liverpool, having been wounded in the shoulder. Mrs Walkington had six sons serving in the Forces and five sons-in-law.
