Harrogate Herald - 29th January 1919

The MM has been awarded to Sapper Thomas Wardman, RE, of Robert Street, Harrogate, the only son of the late Mr Thomas Wardman, of York Place, for distinguished services on the Italian front in October last. Previous to joining the Army I 1916, he was fifteen years with Mr J Checkley, builder.
