Lance Corporal Arthur Weatherhead (West
Yorks), aged 20, third son of John Weatherhead, Burn Bridge,
Pannal. Volunteered at outbreak of war. He went out to France April,
1915, returned home sick October, 1915. Went out a second time, and
was reported wounded and missing since September, 1916. Previous to
war he was a telegraph boy at the Harrogate Post Office,
subsequently with Mr T Wray, electrician. Both were clever lads and
promising to well.

Roll of Honour
Lance Corporal Arthur (Archie) Weatherhead (West Yorks),
previously reported wounded and missing on September 28th, 1916, is
now presumed to have died on that date. He was an old Beechwood Boy,
and was in France for the second time. He was 21 years of age, and
the third son of Mr & Mrs John Weatherhead, Burn Bridge,
Pannal.
