Harrogate Herald - 2nd May 1917
The following are men who have sent us the Army
post-card briefly stating that they are well and have received
papers and parcels, or whose letters contain views that have
repeatedly been expressed by other correspondents, but show their
friends that they are all right :
Pte Albert White
Harrogate Herald - 27th February 1918
Private Albert White, fifth son of Mrs White, of
Westmoreland Passage [10], who has had his left leg amputated below
the knee and his shoulder badly damaged by a shell which dropped
near him whilst resting after an attack, is progressing favourably. Mrs
White had five sons in the Army, one being killed and one is a
prisoner in Germany. A grandson is in training in England.
