Another of the quintet stranded at Leeds on Sunday week was Corporal R Whitehead, of St Mary's Avenue, who after 4 years and 5 months service has been demobilised. Although following his vocation of a masseur at a casualty clearing station, he has had some exciting times when Fritz was on his bombing expeditions. He is glad to be back to civil life, though his homeward journey was not all that could be desired.
