Many thanks for parcels sent by Mrs Best, including
tobacco, pipe, cigs, tea, and sugar. I am very grateful to Mrs
Martin, 30 King's Road, [Apartments run by Miss Sarah Robinson, and
called Cardigan House] Harrogate, for socks, Oxo, cocoa, camp pie,
etc. I received the Herald same time, and was glad to read the local
news. I am quite well and hope to keep so,

Letters
Private F Wilson writes :
I have received Herald and am glad to read the local
news, but sorry to hear of so many local lads having fallen. I am
very grateful to Miss Muriel Lister, Pannal, for the tea and cocoa
tablets and for parcels previously sent by Miss Martin, 30 King's
Road, Harrogate, and the kind lady, Mrs Best, pipe, cigs, and
tobacco, etc. I enjoy a cup of tea after a hard day. I am also
grateful, Mr Breare, for your kindness in forwarding these parcels.
I have now plenty of tea. Wishing your paper every success, also the
old town. Wish I was in it again. Please thank Mrs Malim, [Probably
wife of J W Malim, physician and surgeon, Ernside, 10 Duchy Road]
Duchy Road, for parcel.
