Harrogate Herald - 27th February 1918
Signalman L Wray, of HMS Glowworm, says : I must write and
thank you for the Pateley paper which I receive regularly, generally
Sundays. Since you kindly sent it from the office it has been a day
or two earlier, hence the news id fresher. I called in the office at
Pateley while on leave, but unfortunately Mr Breare was absent, so I
left my new address, and his assistant kindly consented to thank
him, which I believe she did over the 'phone. Rather novel, was it
not? It is jolly good to have all the latest news from Harrogate and
district, and your weekly letter, I think is "top-hole",
but sorry to say there are no Harrogate lads here.
