Harrogate Herald - 1st December 1915
Lance Corporal Young, of the Royal Field Artillery, is in
the Royal Bath Hospital with shrapnel wounds in the foot. He was on
the Armentieres line at the time. The British guns were shelling the
German trenches preparatory to the infantry making a charge, and a
stray shell which came over burst near by. Lance Corporal Young,
whilst acknowledging that there was a shortage of shells last
Spring, added that they always had enough. He is making good
progress.
